Autumn Mix Place Value

We are trying a new math curriculum at school...not my favorite. The kids have a been having a hard time with a few of the place value skills we've been learning about. So I thought it would be fun to review these skills while using Autumn Mix candy. I usually graph with Autumn Mix candy...
but since I have switched grades to fourth, I wanted to do something a little more on their level. Thus was born my Autumn Mix Place Value.

We used it to help review for our math test and the kids did great!

I am putting this up on Teachers Pay Teachers at a discounted rate until I get home from work Monday! Head over and grab it while it's on sale!

A Little Late to the Party!

So I am linking up with the fabulous Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for the August Currently.  I am only a few days late to this party!  Anyways, here goes it...

So Orange is the New Black is my new obsession.  I have heard people talk about it and just never got the time to check it out.  So I started watching it a few weeks ago.  I am completely finished with season one and am currently making my way through the second season.  It is so incredibly addicting!

This past week has been a whirlwind of crazy busy-ness.  But I wouldn't change any of it!  It's been great!  But it's now bumming me out that the summer just got extra great and is now coming to an end for me!

I have a wedding to attend this weekend.  I am in real need of a pedicure and I would love a manicure to go with it!  I usually shellac my own fingernails, but I am kind of wanting to just sit and be pampered...too bad it gets a bit pricey!

My boyfriend and I have been trying to get together with some family all weekend and it just hasn't been working out.  So I am really, really pushing for it today!  I love getting together with family and just spending some time together.  Especially in the summer when I don't need to worry about lesson plans and such on a Sunday afternoon.

I put this together before I headed to the gym and it somehow didn't post.  So I can now check heading to the gym off my list for today!

The first day for me is still a little bit of a toss up.  But I'm hoping to get into my classroom before then to get some stuff done anyways!

Here's the last bit of info I have for you today...tomorrow starts the big Back to School Sale on TpT.  My entire store will be mark 20% off and you can get even more saving while checking out by using the code BTS14. Thanks to Krista from The Creative Chalkboard for the cute sale graphic!

My newest and current favorite product will also be included in this sale!

Two for Tuesday AND Currently!

Hey ya'll! It's time for another Two for Tuesday link up over at The Teaching Tribune.  AND Farley has her Currently linky going on.  So it's double the linky fun today!  I will start with Two for Tuesday...
Such a great way to find new resources and get them at a great price.  Here's what I have marked for 50% off today only!
This game will keep your students engaged while allowing them a fun way to practice reading their popcorn (sight) words.  I switch grades this past year and my kids were totally on board with learning their popcorn words.  Since I am staying in the same grade next year, I decided to create a few things to keep my kids practicing their popcorn words all year long without getting bored!

Next up...
This is a great way for your students to practice writing their numbers.  This item will also have your student "finding" a certain amount of images to match the numeral they're practicing.

And now, onto the Currently for July!  Cannot believe it's July already.  SLOW DOWN SUMMER! What happened to June??? Anyways, here's my Currently!
Listening: I love that CMT plays music videos in the morning.  It helps me get up and get moving!

Loving: The humidity is finally supposed to break.  Let me tell you, I can take the heat, it's the temperature that gets to me.  It messes with my lungs/asthma and makes life not so fun!

Thinking: I had this idea in my head of everything I would accomplish this summer.  I've gotten to some of it, but not as much as I thought I would've accomplished by now.  Time to step it up!

Wanting: Summer needs to slow down.  Not only because I have things I'd like to get accomplished, but also because I feel like it's just blasting past.  And I would like to stop and savor it a little more.

Needing: I must get to the post office today/call in an RSVP, like today!  And then I need to lock myself in the house for this day after the storm blah and get some organizing done.

4th Plans: We have several things we could end up doing...see my family, see his family, hang with friends...just need to sit down and decide what we're doing.

So there you have it.  Some awesome resources for half off and the story of my life at this current moment!  Be sure to head over and link up!

Two for Tuesday!

Guess what...I'm linking up with The Teaching Tribune again!  They are really helping to keep me on track with my summer blogging! I love it! So it's Two for Tuesday...
which means I have set two items from my store to half price for today only! Wanna see what you can grab for half price? Keep reading!

The first item you can grab for 50% off is my newest item which I cannot wait to use with my littles next year (not that I'm in any way trying to rush my summer!).
This item will be great for recognizing colors and color words.  There's so much going on here...a mini book for colors, a mini book for color words, coloring sorting center, and worksheets for each color/color word!

The second item on sale for 50% off is my Interview Packet.  I used this at the end of the year with my Kinders and they absolutely loved being able to create a book about their friend!
This activity is differentiated to accommodate writers who need a little assistance with cloze sentences and writers who can create their own sentences alike.

I hope you find these items as helpful as I have! Happy Half-Off Shopping!

Two For Tuesday

It's Tuesday and I'm linking up with The Teacher Tribune which means...TWO FOR TUESDAY!!!

That's right y'all. I have marked two items in my store down to half the cost.  Two awesome products for 50% off and I'm not the only blogger! Here's what I'm offering for 50% off!
These worksheets are leveled to use with all of your students at their learning level.  I used these this past school year with my students in math centers.  Each of my groups had a different level of worksheet we were working on to practice counting Base Ten Blocks!

This activity is very versatile.  You can use it as an independent assessment, a small group center, or a full group game.  This item will help your students to practice counting to twenty using ten frames.

Be sure to head over and see what other awesome items you could purchase!

Two for Tuesday!

I'm linking up (again) with The Teaching Tribune. Today, they are hosting a Two for Tuesday Linky.
This means that two of my items have been marked 50% off in my TpT Store.  Check out what I marked down below, and then head over to see what other bloggers have marked down.
With this item, your students will be able to observe all of the states of matter while making jello!  They will make a prediction, complete observational notes, and answer questions about what they observed and learned through the experience of making jello.  I used this with first and second grade students.

This item will allow your students to recognize the difference between stories written to give information and stories written to tell a story.  You will need the book, "A Taste of Honey," by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace to use this product!  When using this product, your students will need to select what they think was the author's purpose and give an explanation!  I used this while teaching first and second grade students.

Be sure to pop back in tomorrow for a free math worksheet!

Easter Sale and a not so fun Friday...

First, I want to let you all know that I am having an Easter sale. Tomorrow, April 20 and Monday, April 21, you can head to my TpT store and save 20% on everything!
Be sure to check around as there are lots of teachers participating in this sale!

This past week, my wrist has really been bothering me. My wrist has been achy and sore and my entire hand has been tingly and going numb at times. And which hand is it, you ask. Of course it's my dominant hand. So I was off yesterday and decided to take a trip to the doctor. I had an X-ray to rule out breakage...which I thought would not be the case as I haven't had any trauma to cause breakage. The X-Ray came back normal as I thought it would and I got this lovely new "fashion accessory" to try out for a week with some anti inflammatory meds.
It sounds like early signs of carpal tunnel. Hopefully this will help me to become symptom free so I don't have to go for more testing with possible occupational therapy or surgery.

Next week should be interesting as I can't get a good grip on writing materials with this thing on. My writing looks terrible!

In a happier note, I hope everyone has a great Easter. Don't forget to hop over to TpT and do a little sale shopping!

Let's Get Counting!

Hello All! I have made a little something for those of you (including my kiddos) who are practicing counting with base ten blocks.
This new set is leveled for differentiated use.  My students are at many different levels of counting with base ten blocks, so I created worksheets that will be beneficial to all of my students! There are worksheets for 10-30, 30-50, 50-70, 70-90, and using the 100 base ten block.

I cannot wait to use it with my kids this week.  I'm hoping that some of you will be able to use it with your student as well.  So I am putting it on sale for half off until 10:00 tomorrow (Monday) night.

Hope the rest of your Sunday is fabulous!

Currently February and a Super Sale!

I'm linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy, Fourth Grade! for her Currently linky! It's been a little while since I've linked up. Feels good to be getting back into the swing of blogging and linking up for some fun!   Here we go...
Listening: This is currently my favorite song.  The boyfriend and I just saw Dustin Lynch in concert (with Little Big Town and Keith Urban).  It was a wonderful concert!

Loving: The Olympics are coming so soon! I cannot wait! When I was younger, this was always a family event.  We would watch the opening together, then our favorite parts of the games, and eventually the closing.  So now as an adult, I still love watching the opening, games, and closing. Sometimes I even head over to the parentals and catch a bit with them!

Thinking: Super Bowl commercials are the best part of the game! Can't wait to see what's in store tonight!

Wanting: Spring needs to get here.  I am so over all of the snow we've gotten. And the abnormally low temperatures.  I am not that much of a winter person to begin with, but this winter has been AWFUL!!!

Needing: 100's Day and Valentine's Day are right around the corner (and only about a week apart from each other!). So I need to get some planning done.  I've got some ideas, but I need to get everything planned out for when and where. My teaching partner and I are thinking rotations for 100's Day. So we're needing to get the logistics worked out!

2 Truths and 1 Fib:
1. I truly do love dark chocolate! Dove dark chocolate or Milky Way Dark are my go to when I need a little dark chocolate fix!
2. This is my fib...I LOVE to cook.  It's the clean up that gets me!
3. My work days truly do begin with coffee.  Sometimes it's a stop to Biggby Coffee (love their coupons!). And sometimes it's the good ol' Keurig!  But either way, this girl needs an early morning coffee fix to get started!

AND now...the Super Sale! Because it's the big game (or big commercial event, in my case!), my TpT store will be on sale today.  Everything will be 20% off, so come get a little shopping done before the commercials get rolling (or the game!!!).
(Thanks to Surfin' Through Second for the sale button!)

Cyber Monday Sale...cannot wait!

Hey everybody, I created a Thanksgiving post and somehow it never posted. So I will mesh this post about the awesomeness of the TpT Cyber Monday sale with my thankfulness for all of you. I have clearly been a little MIA from the blog this school year.  It's been an interestingly busy year with changing schools and grades. So I just want to say I am thankful for the blogging world and all of you for sticking with me even though my posts have been a little sparse.  I've got a plan in place now for how to be a little more "here!"

With that being said, I am super excited for the Cyber Monday sale on TpT. I've got some new products that I've made and have been using in my classroom.  I've also got a new "growing" pack I'm working on as well.  But I am getting ahead of myself.  I am linking up...that's right, getting back in the game with a linky...with the wonderful Mrs. Bainbridge over at Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge for her Deck the Halls with TpT Linky.

And as we're decking the halls...we've gotta have a little playlist. Christina made such a cute graphic for this!
And now I shall play a few of my favorites for you. Check this out!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Reading...
Theme with A Bad Case of Stripes allows your students to learn about theme with a corresponding poster and worksheets to demonstrate understanding...all to be used with a wonderful story that your students will love!

Next up, Oh Management, Oh Management...
I use this in my classroom. It's such a great teacher tool.  It allows you to keep important dates, student information, parent correspondence and such all in one place.  I wouldn't be as organized in my paperwork and classroom information without this!

One of my favorites, I Saw Mommy with Science and Social Studies Resources...
This resource will allow your students to describe the characteristics of severe weather and what to do when you are having those types of weather.  It also comes with an assessment.
This resource has vocabulary posters and books to describe weather during each of the seasons.  The students will be able to complete an observational journal about the weather for as many days as you choose to have them observe the weather! These two resources go together wonderfully!

And last but not least, Walking in a Math Wonderland...

These products go together so well.  These have been a huge help to my students in understanding what addition and subtraction is, especially when using regrouping!

So there you have it. Some of my favorites using the Deck the Halls playlist. I hope that you will head over and check out my store and that you find some great buys in the TpT Cyber Monday Sale. My store is on sale for 20% off. Don't forget to use the code CYBER to get the additional savings from TpT. Happy Shopping!
