Snow Day Number 2!

So I am working on Snow Day number 2 for this week. (5 for the year). I've had a pretty productive day again today. I'm really hitting math skills hard. The math curriculum I'm provided with has very short lessons and doesn't introduce skills as early as I'd like. So I've been creating some items to get my kids moving along in math.
For example, we are supposed to be introducing tally marks and counting by 5 this week (weather permitting!). But this is a skill we've been practicing for some time now. So to help with practicing this skill, I created some puzzles yesterday. Check them out here, they're free!
We've also been working on addition. I created common core aligned addition puzzles within 5 yesterday (my kids LOVE puzzles)!

Today I created a set of puzzles for the different ways to make 10. And it's got a football theme, just in time for this weekend's festivities!

Here's the last thing I've got for you. We've almost made it to the end of this post, and the freebie I hinted at yesterday. Graphs and data interpretation are big for us. I wanted to start incorporating it into one of our math groups as it is it's own topic on one of our big tests. So I created some color, count, and graph sheets. Check them out. There's a freebie in the preview!
Thanks for sticking with me to the end of this post. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm! Happy Tuesday!

Productive Snow Days!

I cannot believe the last time I blogged was December 1. Blogging Slacker, right here!  But if you bear with me, I do have a little something to make up for that!

Today was a Snow Day for my district and I have recently found out that we will be off again tomorrow.  This is to be expected with negative wind chill temperatures and real temperatures dropping into the negative as well. This has given me some time to get my productivity flowing! I've got some new puzzles for addition within 5 and they include some adorable new robot clipart!

Click on the pictures or here, to check these out in my store!

I have a whole list that I plan to work on creating tonight and tomorrow, whenever I decide to roll out of bed! Read as 6:00 because I'm too used to the alarm! So you'll want to check back tomorrow and see what I've come up with!

And now, to say thanks for sticking with me while I was a bit absent from the blog, I have a little freebie to share with you.  I've created some skip counting puzzles.  My kids absolutely love these, but we're getting a little bored with the pictures as they haven't been changed out in a while.  There is a puzzle for counting by 2, 5, and 10 with three different themes for February (Groundhogs, Valentines, and Presidents!)
I hope you can use these with your students! I'd love a little feedback love if you do download! Check back tomorrow to see what I've been up to and see if there's any other freebies (hint, hint!).
