Snow Day Number 2!

So I am working on Snow Day number 2 for this week. (5 for the year). I've had a pretty productive day again today. I'm really hitting math skills hard. The math curriculum I'm provided with has very short lessons and doesn't introduce skills as early as I'd like. So I've been creating some items to get my kids moving along in math.
For example, we are supposed to be introducing tally marks and counting by 5 this week (weather permitting!). But this is a skill we've been practicing for some time now. So to help with practicing this skill, I created some puzzles yesterday. Check them out here, they're free!
We've also been working on addition. I created common core aligned addition puzzles within 5 yesterday (my kids LOVE puzzles)!

Today I created a set of puzzles for the different ways to make 10. And it's got a football theme, just in time for this weekend's festivities!

Here's the last thing I've got for you. We've almost made it to the end of this post, and the freebie I hinted at yesterday. Graphs and data interpretation are big for us. I wanted to start incorporating it into one of our math groups as it is it's own topic on one of our big tests. So I created some color, count, and graph sheets. Check them out. There's a freebie in the preview!
Thanks for sticking with me to the end of this post. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm! Happy Tuesday!

Productive Snow Days!

I cannot believe the last time I blogged was December 1. Blogging Slacker, right here!  But if you bear with me, I do have a little something to make up for that!

Today was a Snow Day for my district and I have recently found out that we will be off again tomorrow.  This is to be expected with negative wind chill temperatures and real temperatures dropping into the negative as well. This has given me some time to get my productivity flowing! I've got some new puzzles for addition within 5 and they include some adorable new robot clipart!

Click on the pictures or here, to check these out in my store!

I have a whole list that I plan to work on creating tonight and tomorrow, whenever I decide to roll out of bed! Read as 6:00 because I'm too used to the alarm! So you'll want to check back tomorrow and see what I've come up with!

And now, to say thanks for sticking with me while I was a bit absent from the blog, I have a little freebie to share with you.  I've created some skip counting puzzles.  My kids absolutely love these, but we're getting a little bored with the pictures as they haven't been changed out in a while.  There is a puzzle for counting by 2, 5, and 10 with three different themes for February (Groundhogs, Valentines, and Presidents!)
I hope you can use these with your students! I'd love a little feedback love if you do download! Check back tomorrow to see what I've been up to and see if there's any other freebies (hint, hint!).

Cyber Monday Sale...cannot wait!

Hey everybody, I created a Thanksgiving post and somehow it never posted. So I will mesh this post about the awesomeness of the TpT Cyber Monday sale with my thankfulness for all of you. I have clearly been a little MIA from the blog this school year.  It's been an interestingly busy year with changing schools and grades. So I just want to say I am thankful for the blogging world and all of you for sticking with me even though my posts have been a little sparse.  I've got a plan in place now for how to be a little more "here!"

With that being said, I am super excited for the Cyber Monday sale on TpT. I've got some new products that I've made and have been using in my classroom.  I've also got a new "growing" pack I'm working on as well.  But I am getting ahead of myself.  I am linking up...that's right, getting back in the game with a linky...with the wonderful Mrs. Bainbridge over at Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge for her Deck the Halls with TpT Linky.

And as we're decking the halls...we've gotta have a little playlist. Christina made such a cute graphic for this!
And now I shall play a few of my favorites for you. Check this out!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Reading...
Theme with A Bad Case of Stripes allows your students to learn about theme with a corresponding poster and worksheets to demonstrate understanding...all to be used with a wonderful story that your students will love!

Next up, Oh Management, Oh Management...
I use this in my classroom. It's such a great teacher tool.  It allows you to keep important dates, student information, parent correspondence and such all in one place.  I wouldn't be as organized in my paperwork and classroom information without this!

One of my favorites, I Saw Mommy with Science and Social Studies Resources...
This resource will allow your students to describe the characteristics of severe weather and what to do when you are having those types of weather.  It also comes with an assessment.
This resource has vocabulary posters and books to describe weather during each of the seasons.  The students will be able to complete an observational journal about the weather for as many days as you choose to have them observe the weather! These two resources go together wonderfully!

And last but not least, Walking in a Math Wonderland...

These products go together so well.  These have been a huge help to my students in understanding what addition and subtraction is, especially when using regrouping!

So there you have it. Some of my favorites using the Deck the Halls playlist. I hope that you will head over and check out my store and that you find some great buys in the TpT Cyber Monday Sale. My store is on sale for 20% off. Don't forget to use the code CYBER to get the additional savings from TpT. Happy Shopping!

November Currently!

So I've missed out on the last few Currentlies due to my inability to be a good blogger the past few months! But I'm back and feeling good about this month's Currently. It is really cute to! So I'm linking up with Oh Boy Fourth Grade... for the November Currently!

Listening to: I love Pandora! And my Blake Shelton station is one that I've personalized by adding more artists to and it is wonderful! Currently blasting Miranda Lambert, Only Prettier!

Loving: I had today off from work (as in I didn't have to go to work) and got so much stuff done and accomplished at home for the house and for school! Fantastically productive day!

Thinking: Even though I was hugely productive today, I could always use one more day to finish up...can't we always use just one more day?!

Wanting: Macaroni and Cheese Pizza! I know, I know...sounds a little iffy! But I promise it is wonderful.  There is a little pizza shop in town that makes it and does BOGO pizza on Tuesday nights. Easy enough to talk the boyfriend into pizza for dinner!

Needing: I had a massage scheduled for this week, but had to move it to next week.  The middle of my back is hurting SO much.  Really wishing I hadn't needed to postpone it.

Yummy Pin: Super easy and absolutely delicious...
Easy Toffee Pretzel Bark Recipe - ZipList
Be warned, it's addicting. It is so hard to only eat a little and walk away! Here's the recipe link:

Now head over and check out everyone else who has linked up for the November Currently!

Who doesn't love Autumn Mix???

I'm here with a quick share I what we did for math this week. And for those of you who are thinking, "It's about time she posts something"...I couldn't agree more!!! So here it is...Autumn mix Graphing.

This activity had us practicing sorting, counting, numeral recognition and writing, and completing a graph! We accomplished a lot with this activity!

We also used this to go along with our science lesson. We are learning about our senses and this week we were practicing taste. So of course we had to taste our Autumn Mix...that's why there's a circle around the pumpkin at the top. This particular kinder friend liked the pumpkin candy corn the best!

You can pick up a copy of your own here.  Or you could be one of two lucky people who will grab a copy of their own for free...just tell me your favorite piece of candy corn from the Autumn Mix and I will pick two people tomorrow when I get home from work! Don't forget to leave your email with your comment!

I'm back!!!!

I can't believe that I am already getting into my fourth week of school! But I bet you can...I've been a little MIA around blog land lately. My apologies!

But to make up for that, I've got some pictures to show what I've been up to and a little giveaway at the end! Keep reading!

We have gotten into the swing of our morning routine. This helps get everybody starting their day without making anyone sit around to wait for peers. It has been working wonderfully so far!

Notice the hand prints? Those are popcorn words (sight words) that are new for the week. We high five one and say the word on our way out of the classroom. I saw a similar idea on Pinterest and decided to try it out...so fun!

Got this beauty from Michael's for $25 earlier this week. That's right...$25!!!! I received an email about their deal of the day and then used my educator discount too. Love it!

Now onto the giveaway...

I will give a copy of my Writing and Counting 0-20 to the first two people to comment about how their year is going so far.  Be sure to leave your email address!
